You are applying for the Full Time Admissions Coordinator position on 1st Shift with 3-5 Years Experience.

The primary purpose of the patient advocate is to facilitate customer relations internally and implement the admission process. This will include facilitating appropriate admissions turnaround time, conversion ratios and facility tours.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Completes admission paperwork or ensures that a back up system is in place to handle it.

B. Facilities tours/back up systems and training.

C. Facilities referrals/intakes and maintains turnaround time, ensuring a maximum of (1) one hour for telephone approval (from inquiry to acceptance) and (2) two hours for on-site evaluations.

D. Conducts daily stand-up meeting.

E. Completes appropriate forms and maintains records of forms such as contact rosters, month end census summary and inquiry/referral logs, etc.

F. Coordination of internal customer service programs.

G. Meets budgeted/targeted census goals and payor mix.

H. Coordinates external community relationships.

Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

At least (1) one year of experience with discharge planning or admissions in the health care industry.
Needs to possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

The ability to multi-task and identify/interact with various referrals and referral sources.

Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff and all external contacts.
